Christmas Vacation Part 2

We did two more memorial things. One we had a dinner party with all of my old friends and the second one was go to the temple for some sealings.

Johan and I were invited by my friends to go to the Williams house to make dinner and have a small get together. Johan and I were in charge to bring Potatoes, Sour cream, and toppings for the salad. Driving there wasn't a problem until my brother (who was driving) decided to take a small car four wheeling. He had yelled about deer and I'm always a sucker of deer and seeing them. So he pulls off into a ditch to try to beam his lights into the forest that was to far away and over a small hill. It totally defeated the purpose of driving into the ditch since the hill blocked most if not all of the light. We will get back to this story later.

It was a lot of fun to interact with old friends and have them all meet Johan. We all brought a little bit to the kitchen. Sheila was the normal take charge of all the cooking and putting people to work, Pat was the comic relief, Andrew was the one that was always on a mission, Nick, Johan, Grant, and Brian were often the ones that would pick up anything that needed work. We made an amazing meal of Lemon Chicken with noodles, Garlic MashedPotatoes, Chef Salad, Egg rolls, and Buckeyed deserts.

We ended the night with a tour of Pat's new house and lots of old stories we had. I felt a little bad with Johan not knowing anyone, but quickly got over it. We overall had a really good time.

Now back to the story from above. The next day, dad came out and flipped out about the mud. Grant didn't think that there would be a lot because most of it was taken off while driving. There was tons of Oklahoman red dirt all on top of the hood and side. Grant had thought I told dad about the adventure. I assured him I didn't and that the evidence was everywhere on the car. We had a really good laugh about it later.

Our next great adventure was going to the Oklahoma City Temple. It was a great experience to do sealings for the first time (other than our own). It was a bit hectic trying to get organized to get going. We ended up getting a lot of them done. We even got to seal Makka's sister to her family. We felt the spirit really strongly at that moment and peace. It was amazing. We ended the temple day with lunch at Braums.

On Tuesday, Johan and I decided to go see a movie at the amazing theater in Moore. The Warren theater is a huge building with a restraunt inside and the lobby is two stories. It has two seating arrangements you can choose from: The Balcony (in the theater). The Regular seating. The movie's are all digital and an amazing quality. We had a really hard decision before us...What movie do we go see?! We decided on The Curious Case of Benjiman Button. It was a really good movie that made you realize how short life really is.

Soon, we were off toward the airport. As much as I love going to places I always enjoy coming back home. It was freezing in Utah compared to Oklahoma. Liz and I caught up in the car while Johan slept.
