If you don't know who the Hine's are...well let me tell you. The are a redheaded bunch of cutness. I just felt like showing pictures of our adventures at the pool. Even though it was freezing!
Garette really wanting to play in the water.
Lillian didn't like the cold water very much. =D I couldn't tell if they liked the falling bucket of water or not.
I found out my nephew loved to headbutt..I got headbutted twice in the nose.
Mason being Mason.
Brothers and Sisters playing together......Priceless
One day garrett you will be able to swim without mom at the hip.
No, It isn't the movie. It was seriously my best friend's wedding!
I went to Oklahoma to be there for my best friend and on her wedding day. I was the Maid-of-Honor, but I guess when you are married they call you Maytron of Honor. Which to me sounded extremely old. The week was a flurry of events of going to the Bachorlette party, buying last minute items to wear to the wedding. The wedding was amazing.
Sheila looked like a model with her wedding dress. The dress was gorgeous and the decorations awesome. I got to hold Nick's ring for a little bit, and hold Sheila's bouquet. It was so much fun, except if Natasha would of just calmed down and not become bridezilla for Sheila.
I was also told I was to give a toast. They asked the bestman to give a toast and the maid of honor which equaled....your very own, muah! I was told the night before. You have to understand...I don't like large crowds or giving talks. I always feel dumb afterward. I don't even give talks in church! (Sheila, Feel blissful that I did it! You are seriously like another sister to me!!)
So here I am...in a Hallmark store trying to figure out what I wanted to say to Sheila and her upcoming happiness.. I find myself at Hallmark the next day to get ideas. Hallmark does a sooo much better job than I ever could do. So I totally write a few sentences that I like from a few card on a napkin to use later.
So It is about my turn for the toast and my palms are sweating, feeling dizzy from standing in the sun for the ceremony, and wishing I was 2 feet tall so I didn't have to see all the people starring at me. I end up not using the napkin, but telling some story about when I first met Sheila and Nick. I guess it goes well until the end...I totally forget to tell everyone to lift there glasses and toast toward Sheila and Nick....I end it, after a long pause, "CHEERS!"
I was extremely horrified about it and quickly dart away and toward the dancers to disappear. Luckily, Sheila said she loved it and I had gotten a few laughs from people. The wedding didn't end in disaster! In fact, it was awesome. Overall it was a great wedding and I couldn't be happier to my best friend. She couldn't have gotten a better guy.
A few weeks ago my scooter got a flat tire while I was driving in Orem. I was super stressed and called Johan to tell him what happened. I was greatful we had hometeachers that answer their phones! Johan got ahold of them and picked up the scooter. I know it isn't a big deal for most, but I was super stressed with the end of school coming up and trying to get everything together only to have my scooter break down. They relieved a huge burden off my plate for the few moments. Now I don't stress that someone is going to steal the poor thing. Thank heaven for Home Teachers. Don't know what I would of done without them.
This is what we did for Easter. We ate at my sisters house with her in-laws. It was soo much food, it felt like christmas again. (of course we went to church.)
Johan and I decided for a Easter date (day before Easter), we would make baskets for some friends and decorate eggs for them. We ended up inviting my brother because he was about to leave...and it seemed more the merrier type idea.
We gave 1 basket to Liz and Jon, just for everything they do for us. Thanks a tons!
We gave another to our Neighbors that were about to move.
We gave the last to Erica and Matt. It was the most fun to deliver.
We had a night of fun, laughter ,and Scary stories!!
Started off with Suprising Rachel at our friends Kinsley's house. (Somehow, Erica and I got lost...and we still beat them to the house!) It was priceless seeing Rachel's suprised face.
It was so fun telling scary stories and eating pizzas. I had soo much fun with my girls. It is pretty rare when we can all make it together.
We started a small bonfire. It was pretty intense, but we had a good laugh over it. We ended up trying to jump over the flames. It was hilarious and fun. I thought we were all pretty daring. Yeah, we were a little hyper. It was all those coke and pizza's!
It was too bad that we started to freak each other out with seeing a figure in the shadows. We ran inside.
We ended the night by taking a bath (in swimsuits). It was a bunch of fun and I'm sorry Kinsley that we soaked most of your bathroom with soap water. We then ended the night watching the Office and Lost season finales. I thought this was an amazing fun part and we should do it again real soon.
I went and took my practical test in St. George. It was the most fun, and also the worse experience of my life. I took this roadtrip to take my test with Rachel and Erica from school. It had been a relief and a comfort to have someone I knew with me during the test.
We left school around 7p.m. and got to the place around 11. I had a yelling fight with this India woman at our hotel. I was afraid they were going to double charge me, But we made up.
Soon, the big day came. We had to arrive all prepared and ready to get tested! I ran into two problems during my test that I was sure would make me fail.
1. I threw away my cutting scissors into my trashbag.
2. My razor for my razor cut, was for a person that was left handed. I had to try to work with it as best as I could.
It was soo stressful. We had a woman throw up after the test was over. In the end, We all passed our test and celebrated at a nearby Denny's!
We met in March in Cozumel. We soon started to chat, text, email, and talk on the phone for months. We met up the end of November and soon started dating. We got engaged in Feb. and married in June.
We are currently living in Utah. Johan is finishing up school in Economics and Latin studies. I'm also going to soon finish my Cosmetology degree. After that we will see where we will end up.
