Good CLEAN fun!

Tonight Johan and I decided to clean the house. What forced our hand was that we are hosting a small gathering of friends for games and some snacks. It was fun to be able to tease together and Jam out in our house. Johan was such a champ and took over the kitchen. I was really amazed how AWESOME it looks. (Not like I doubted Johan.) I feel really blessed for a husband that even after a bad day can come home and help me with house chores and get ready for guests. He was so awesome for cleaning even the stove!! I am still amazed it was finished in an hour or two. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE My husband! I really do appreciate him and all he does.

Random thought: I always love the smell of bleach..It smells so clean. Hope I'm not weird in thinking like that. I will have pictures soon of our amazing first apartment.

Film Festival 2009!!!

On Monday and Wednesday, I went with some girls from school to the Park City Film Festival. It was my first event like that. My friends told me that tons of actors go and that I might see one. I was all, "sure..yeah right!!!" Little did I know, that I was going to see a bunch of famous people. I might not know the names, but I knew that they were famous! It was a bunch of fun, with laughter, eatting, and trying to stay warm!

I didn't get pictures with all, but I got a bunch more with Robert Redford (Horse Whisper), Anthony Edwards (E.R.), Minnie Driver (Return to Me), Broklyn (Real World), and Christopher Meloni (Law & Order: Special Victims). It was a interesting two days!

Naked Story

On Friday, (true events!) (Don't worry, made sure it was okay to retell this story.)

Friday is our juggle-the-car day. Johan needed the car for work, so at lunch I came back home so he could drop me back off at school and have the car for work.

So as I'm parking the car and I see this text message.

Txt Johan: Where are you lover?
Reply Megan: I'm coming up the stairs. XOXO

So I slowly move up the stairs and I'm sticking the key into the lock and the door flies open. All I see is naked body and scream. I realize it was my husband and started laughing. By then, I already entered the apartment in fear that our neighbors would see my laughing naked husband. I have never laughed so hard in my entire life!!

Johan told me, after we calmed down from laughing, that he got my text as he was coming to the door. I think his plan was to either try to make me laugh or possibly try to get me into a early grave. Still trying to figure that one out. But whatever the reason, Johan got me laughing and I was really greatful for it.

Driving home through HELL-o.

So I didn't ride my scooter, but my ride from the underworld started when I decided to finish my laundry at liz's(my sisters) house. Our car is rear wheeled drive and doesn't really do well on slick surfaces...to Johan's delight.

The drive to Liz's wasn't so bad. I drove still slower than normal and made sure I was a safe distance away from all obsticles on my journey to Payson.

I had been planning on leaving before dark but I had some difficulties with the laundry and ended up playing with my niece and nephews for a few hours. Johan had done the smart thing and stayed home. I wish I had done the same or at least asked him to join me on my journey!

The ride home was another matter.... It had snowed most of the day and Payson is known for the lack of plowing going on. I left Liz and Jon's house later than I had planned. It was around 7 which is basically pitched black outside. I drove all the way home driving from 25-35 mph. It was the most scariest thing to happen to me. Because of five reasons:

1. I hate the snow


2. I had a lot of close calls and wrecks on iced roads


3. I hate driving in the dark


4. I don't know the roads very well


5. I grew up in Oklahoma where it doesn't snow like Utah.

I was terrified! Semi's would drive past me and I wouldn't be able to see anything with all the snow blowing everywhere. You would think that the closer to provo the calmer I would get....Negator!! It was tense and I could feel my blood pressure rising, because before me on the highway was no longer road, but tons of snow. I couldn't see the heavenly markings on the ground that would tell me where to drive. All that kept running through my mind was, "Oh..great. We only have one car and I'm going to wreck it." Luckily, I made it alive. There were many honks and glares as I drove through provo at 15 mph. I really don't care because I was soo glad to be home.

NEW YEARS!!!

This New Years Johan and I both decided to do two goals. One as a couple and another as individuals. We went out to eat for New years. (It ended with Johan eatting half of my food.) We made a campout in our living room. It was soo much fun. We pretended it was a power outage and just watched a movie. No computer or anything else. We watched the ball drop and popped some poppers. I'm sure our neighbors thought we were shooting a gun. We toasted for all the normal things like world peace. We were just happy we made it another year. HA HA.
