R.I.P.

PANDORA

My mother called me while I work and told me that they had just put down our family dog of 15 years. She was a black lab that had some funny stories behind her.

I remember, my brother would attack me and somehow make the dog join in and pretend like I was hurting him, so pandora would be nipping at my legs while I tried to dodge her and my brother.

Another story, She would run circles around one of our large trees. It almost seemed like the rodents were having just as much fun with her as she was with them. Even near the end of her days she still would play with those evil squirels.
She will be missed.

My wreck...great.

I am sorry to say that it seems in this blog that I'm very unlucky with everything.....BUT I assure you that it isn't always the case.

So a few weeks ago I had the unlucky misfortune of wrecking my cute scooter. I was going about 40 on State when my tire decided to blow out on me. I wasn't freak out at all, because I didn't have time to react. All I thought about before was, 'Great..need to slow down to pull over to check my tire.' I had noo clue I was going to be tipping over into uncoming traffic and getting some really bad road rash and being whisked away in an ambulence.

Luckily, I had decided to wear my helmet to work that day and even home. Johan had text me around 5:30 in the morn about how he almost got hit. (someone had sped through a red light and stopped two feet away from his door.) I was a little scared for him and so I had decided to put on my helmet and not chance brain injuries if a car decided to run me over.

I remember seeing a huge SUV as I fell and just kept wondering if it was going to hurt when I get ran over by a car, but luck was on my side. My scooter ended up getting bumped and the car stopped before it ran me over.

I had a bunch of people around me and feeling an extreme pain on my toe. I just kept saying, "get my husband' and 'Ooowwww, my toe!' I was seriously ready to get some pain killers for my flippin' toe. The ambulence ride wasn't much better. I had a few knuckle heads for my doctors in the ambulence. (I still wasn't given any pain killers.) And one of the guys kept on poking me in my wrong arm with the I.V. I kept telling him my right arm is easier to get a vein. After many attempts on my left and me saying my right arm is better. He had the nerve to actually say, "oh yeah, This arm is soo much better." I rolled my eyes. Now that I think about it, I was probably grumpy about not getting any painkillers.

Finally, I got some pain killers and got to see my husband. I was so thankful for the people that came to the hospital and visited me. (Aunt Terri, Liz and Jon, Evelyn((landlord))) The only injuries I recieve was, :RoadRash-Shoulder, Leg, feet, and breast. Broken Toe. Seperated Shoulder. and glue closed a gash on my broken toe.

I was released after a few hours of in the hospital. I was also suprised that I didn't get any whiplash.

UPDATE:

I am now sooo much better and out of the sling. and wearing normal shoes. I just have some scars and missing a few toenails. All in All, I'm pretty lucky.

Funny story...Why do these things always happen to me?!

You have to understand that we have one door that leads to the main house of our landlords. And this last week the lock hadn't been working except on our side. So we kept it as locked as we could.

So the story takes place with me waking up and deciding to get ready for work. I'm taking a shower and I had shut the door and everything. During the duration of my time before the shower I could hear above us our Landlords grandkids running back and forth and yelling for their mom.

Here I was showering and not being able to see anything because I have the curtains drawn. All I could hear was the door creaking open. I thought that it was probably Johan trying to sneak up on me in the shower. I turn when I hear the curtain get pulled to the side and I see this kids face. I scream and turn and tell them to get out.

So, I end up getting into this type of tug-a-war with this three year old. The six year hold ended up not seeing anything and they keep asking me where their mom was. I just keep telling them they aren't here and they needed to get back upstairs. Finally, they leave and I finish washing and go to find Johan still sleeping through this whole thing. I now often wonder if he would hear a murder enter the house. I told him the story and he just kept on laughing. It made one interesting morning.

I’m glad to say that our door lock has now been fixed. No more random children walking into our home.

We are finally Moving. A BIG CHEER!!

After a whole year, We are finally packing up from our cinderblock walls and moving into a rather nice place. It has all new appliances, Normal walls, and my favorite......A DISHWASHER. It is seriously a blessing from Heavenly Father, because I really don't know how else we found this apartment. I will probably post pictures of our new place once everything is set up. The only draw back that is has is it is located in Pleasant Grove.

Going Hiking at the Grotto

I went hiking with my Mom & Dad and Hine family (except Jon...he was working.). It was fun and we saw some cool things. We happened to catch sight of a deer at the very end. The water was super cold and I didn't know how the kids played for a pretty long time in it. I was in it for maybe 5 minutes and I was ready to get out.

Us and the kids

On our way to the waterfall

Poor Garrett...He looked really

Funny in his case.

We had to climb over logs.

Luckily, I have balance.

The kids being kids.

Liz being a great mommy!

Garrett has a nice glow to him.

So happy to head back.

The last event on the 4th

We watched the firecrackers and lit some ourselves. I always enjoy watching the fireworks, but by the end of the night Johan and I were pretty much wiped out. I had never felt sooo tired in my life. Poor Johan had to deal with me being cranky.
Liz and I decided to light spaklers to set off the tanks..

We wanted to race them. little did we know...

That they would fire at us. We never figured

out who really won.

I was super excited about the fireworks. Johan

was really tired...I was glad he came along

with me.

3rd Event of 4th of July!!!

We got together and did lunch with everyone. It was a ball and I loved seeing the kids all play together. There were a ton of redheaded children. I guess we better be careful because it might run in the family...HA HA.
